Invoices, mhelpdesk
Enabling users to more easily track invoicing and billing.
The Challenge
Mhelpdesk is a software used by companies to help manage people in the service industry. We were tasked with creating a mobile app. There were a few different user personas: the administrator, field employee, and subcontractor. We were building this for the subcontractor persona. The mhdgo app was meant to be used for the subcontractor persona.
The Process
We started with user research, and found that the subcontractor user persona was complex, because it was inevitably tied to the others. This was because the “admin” roles would get to determine what a subcontractor could and could not see. We still wanted to make the user experience one that was fulfilling and well though out, and had several design reviews to ensure our designs lined up with our user persona’s goals.
The Final Product
The existing platform was highly unusable. It was confusing, and finicky at best. The flow I came up with was still clean, but also far more usable and easy to navigate. It was crucial to be meticulous with the FTUX, because it helped to lay the foundation for the entire user experience. I also streamlined color usage, fonts, fields, and any other components to create a cleaner user experience.
