The Knot, Registry Feature
UI/UX Design | Product Design | User Flows | Wireframes | Iconography
The Challenge
I was tasked with redesigning The Knot’s registry feature. The Knot is a platform used by millions worldwide to plan every aspect of weddings.
The Process
I started by reading the requirements and what was necessary for the project. I then went through all the user research that had been done for this specific feature. I then worked closely with the product manager to iterate on each version of the lo-fi wireframes (some samples below) before moving to hi-fidelity mockups. I also worked closely with the product marketing manager to ensure copy was effective, and fit well with the design. We tested a few iterations with users as we went along, and stopped once we found one that received widespread positive feedback.
The Final Product
The rationale for most of my choices came from user research. Whenever we had completed a round, we’d submit the design to user test. There were several valuable insights we gained from doing this, and it truly helped guide our decision making to create a usable, well-functioning product.
